Pediatricians take on gun lobby – carefully
Mon May 13, 2013
I challenge these numbers as not just wrong, but an outright lie. "In the “high gun states,” 21,148 people were murdered between 1988 and 1997, compared with 7,266 in the “low gun states” NBC is not to be believed.......
The latest plan to 'fix' Social Security has plenty of critics
Tue Apr 30, 2013
SS will amount to almost 50% of my income. That is with a GE pension after 40 years with them.
Senate shelves gun bill after defeats
Thu Apr 18, 2013
I'm from upstate NY and everyone around here is dead set against more gun laws. The pain and loss that the parents of the Newtown victims are dealing with does not provide them license to diminishall Americans freedoms. Once you take GUN out of gun violence - you still have the violence. Go after t …
Morning Joe poll: 60 percent of Americans want stricter gun laws
Wed Apr 3, 2013
There are way more people desensitized toand divorced from gun ownership that live in the populous cities. I wonderwhere this poll was conducted. I would also like to know raw numbers. Sixtypercent - was that 6 out of 10 people or 60,000 out of 100,000. As to those whosupport an assault weapons ban …
Obama warns looming sequester would devastate economy
Tue Feb 19, 2013
You do realize that the "sequester" is only removing 85 billion from a 3.8 trillion dollar budget in 2013? That is approximately 2.24%. If we can't handle a 2 1/4 % reduction - God save us. BTW even with the 85 billion in reduced spending, we will still run a deficit of 818 billion in 2013.

'Judge, jury and executioner': Legal experts fear implications of White House drone memo
Tue Feb 5, 2013
This President may understand the constituation but he certainly does not believe he needs to follow it. This article should be solid proof that law abiding citizens should have - indeed need - AR15's, drum magazines, 30 round clips and anything else we can get our hands on.
Americans like Social Security -- and are willing to pay to keep it
Fri Feb 1, 2013
For years congress has been using the Social Security TRUST FUND as their personal piggy bank and leaving nothing but IOUs. Now its time to pay the piper. I am not willing to sacrifice further for something I already paid for. Why are these politicians not in JAIL?
Fewer Americans count on retiring by 65
Wed Jan 30, 2013
I had thought that I would work until 65 but my company gave me a bag of money to retire now
Police officer, wife face charges after nursing injured deer back to health
Tue Jan 29, 2013
Two points. 1) These wildlife laws are constructed with the species wellbeing in mind. Not an individual animal's wellbeing. Habituating a wild animal removes that wild animal from natural law. If the fawn had bad injuries and or had lost its mother, the fawn would have become food for other wildli …
